About the Artist

I have always had a passion for art and culture.

Born in the Middle East I was exposed to the significance of art, culture and language at an early age.

My passion for Art History was ignited under the direction of my art history teacher while I attended The American School in Switzerland, Lugano, Switzerland. Initially I was self taught in the art of Photography and used this medium to document my travels and record visual images that provided a powerful record of the visual history I was able to witness.

My career spanned almost four decades of art education both in the public and private sectors, and more recently I have been able to begin devote my time and energy to develop my skills as a painter. 

The image corresponding to this text was painted from a young child I saw in the garden of Cezanne while touring his studio in 2014.
